Fraudulent Folksiness
The people in this primary season who have pretended to be the most folksy are John Edwards, Mike Huckabee, Mitt Romney and Fred Thompson. The ironic thing is that John Edwards and Mitt Romney are the richest men in the race.
I am a Christian. I do not belong to any church, nor am I a church member, although I attend church. Theologically speaking I am Arminian, but they have no official church. On official documents, I am said to be an Anglican, but that is only because I marked myself down as one in high school in the hopes that the Anglican Church (one of the more wealthy) would give me a scholarship. Not that I didn't consider becoming a priest.
